Njeri Thompson arrived at the Jonesboro Road lot expecting to find the food truck that had helped support her family. Instead, she said, she found an empty space after thieves allegedly hauled away her entire business while she was at home recovering from a series of seizures.

“Came here and this was all that was left, an empty lot,” Thompson, owner of Mac Queen Food Truck, said in an interview with Atlanta News First.

Thompson said the food truck disappeared around Aug. 11 during an unusual three-day period when it remained parked at the lot. She said she and her four daughters typically keep the truck moving, working at different locations rather than leaving it unattended for an extended period.
